The Stories

I was one of the first married recruits after the "married" restriction was lifted in 1974.

Two weeks after our wedding I received the phone call that offered this surprising career switch. This made Lorraine one of the first spouses to
approve the hiring of a Depot recruit. She had to sign on every bit as much as I did.

We were posted to Penticton B.C. for 5 years and then transferred to Chetwynd B.C. After 6 years and our 3rd child, we decided to return to family, and a new career in agriculture. It was a period in our lives that we both fondly look back on and it could easily have worked out differently.
