The Stories
From 1964 to 1966 I was posted to Port Alice Detachment, which was a one man unit, so I introduced my wife to the police radio & phone so she could answer when I was out at night on patrol. She was also very helpful doing office routine duties. The first 6 years of my field service I spent at the following locations Prince Rupert City Det. Prince Rupert S/Div.GIS. Investigated Files covered by PML l6, Port Eward Det. T.i/c, Haselton, Smithers, Burns Lake (2 times for a year each time) Queen Charlotte City (5 Times (twice T. i/c). While at Burns Lake I was able to play hockey, fastball, baseball and curl. I was able to coach school children’s fastball.
