Story:
I joined the RCMP in Regina, Saskatchewan as a civilian member on 13 August 1971 as a telecoms operator. I served at “F” Division HQ in Regina then was transferred to telecoms unit in Regina, Sub Division. In July of 1972 I was sworn in as a regular member of the RCMP. After I completed my training I was transferred to Chilliwhack Township Detachment in British Columbia. I was transferred back to my home province of Saskatchewan in July of 1975. I worked mostly General Duty my whole career with the Force at the following Detachments: Moose Jaw, Balcarres, Wakaw, Humboldt, Porcupine Plain, and Yorkton City. I was also on the “F” Division Emergency Response Team from 1976 to 1987. I was promoted to Cpl in 1990. In 2007 I retired with combined civilian member and regular member service of 35 years.
