Story:

I was accepted into the Force on June 5, 1972, at Chilliwack, B.C. as a 3rd Class Constable. Prior to this I was a Sapper with 3 Field Royal Canadian Engineers at CFB Chilliwack from 1969 to 1972.

Upon completion of basic training, I was posted to Burnaby, British Columbia.

On July of 1976, I was transferred to Security Service, “J” Operations, Toronto, Ontario.

On July of 1979, I was transferred to Special “I Section, Toronto, and promoted to Corporal in 1980.

On June 1982, I was transferred to Special “I Section, London, Ontario.

On May 1985, I was transferred to “G” Division, Fort Norman.

On December 1987, I was transferred to “M” Division, Whitehorse, Special “I” Section and promoted to Sergeant.

On June 1991, I was transferred to “D” Division, St. Pierre-Jolys Detachment and promoted to Staff Sergeant in 1994.

I retired from the Force in October 1994 and joined the newly established Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service as an Inspector and assist in the start up. In 1998 I became the Chief of Police for Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service until my retirement in 2006.

I was invested as an Officer, Order of Merit for Police Service, by Governor General Michaelle Jean in 2006.
